El juego
Battles for Spain recreates four battles of the Spanish Civil War: Guadalajara, Teruel, Mérida-La Serena and the Ebro. You can play either side, and in each battle one side attacks and the other defends.
Games are turn-based and driven by cards representing events and decisions. Leaders are needed to attack, artillery and other support units give combat bonuses, and terrain affects movement and fighting. Historical squadrons can reinforce attacks and defences, with interception and anti-aircraft fire.
Each scenario has its own length and difficulty; Mérida is the recommended one to start with.
