Thatcher’s War is a solitaire strategy game on the 1982 Falklands War. The player commands the British forces against General Galtieri’s Argentine forces, which are run by the game itself.
The game has two parts. In the air-naval phase you must win control of the skies with ships and aircraft. In the land phase, British troops advance across East Falkland to Stanley. It is a fun and challenging overview of the war rather than a detailed simulation.
Designed by Ben Madison with his “Don’t Tread On Me” system and originally published by White Dog Games. Headquarter’s Spanish edition upgrades the components with a rigid box, mounted map and hard-card player aids.
