El juego
Philippines 1896-1898 is a two-player simulation of the conflict between the Spanish army and the Filipino rebels, later joined by the United States. It also includes a solitaire mode for the Filipino side.
It is the new design by Javier G. de Gabiola, author of Cuba: The Splendid Little War (VPG), and follows that game’s approach adapted to this conflict. Over 60 aid and event cards bring in disease, ambushes, assassinations and the reaction of the press and the US government, forcing players to balance resources and make strategic decisions.
This is a boxed edition in Spanish.
